Peru should be a destination on everyone’s bucket list. This amazing country is located in South America along the Pacific Ocean. You won’t believe it, but Peru offers a very wide variety of cultural treasures and magnificent sights and places to visit.

If you wish a beach vacation, you can go and explore the beaches of Mancora, Punta Sal and Paracas for example. As well for families, there is so much to discover in a fun and active way. You will find lots of activities for young and older. Just a few examples: a boat ride to the Ballestas Islands, Sandboarding in the dunes of Ica, a hike with Llamas in the Andes, or monkey and caiman spotting in the Amazon Jungle. For those interested in sports, we have quite some Peruvian sports successes like in Surf and Downhill Mountain Biking. You can find perfect spots to practice Downhill in the Sacred Valley of the Incas with fun, steep and rough terrain routes. For nature lovers, Peru offers some incredible hiking trails troughs the whole country, it’s a real adventure Kingdom. In the north you can hike around Chachapoyas and to the Gocta Waterfalls, go down to the Ancash region to hike around Huaraz and the Codillera Blanca. Of course Peru is also famous for its four day Inca Trail to Machu Picchu. However, the Classic Inca Trail is not the only hike that lead to the Lost City of the Incas, as well as the Salkantay Trek, Lares Trek and Huchuy Qosqo Trek. For the die-hard hikes, they can climb the snowy Ausangate Mountain, which is considered one of the most beautiful snow-capped mountains of the Andes. As already mentioned, in Peru you can also find the Amazon Rainforest, with the highest levels of biodiversity in the world. You could go to Iquitos to spot the pink dolphin, or enter the deep jungle of the Manu Nacional Park to spot the Peruvian Cock of the Rock bird or have fun at canopy towers in the Tambopata Amazon region. For sure you will have a relaxing time listening to the fascinating sounds of the jungle by night. Besides activities and excursions, Peru is also a culinary paradise. You can find an abundance of inspiration and our typical dishes and drinks will be like pearls for your palate. Have a taste of Ceviche, Lomo Saltado, Chiriuchu, Adobo, Menestrón Soup, Cuy or Anticucho. One of the best Peruvian chefs are Gaston Acurio and Virgillio Martinez.
