There are approximately 200 000 homeless and more struggling South Africans out there, and together with our guests, Kololo strive to offer a helping hand.
The Waterberg Welfare Society situated in Vaalwater is a registered non-profit organisation which provides help and support for those in need, including those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. The WWS continue to focus on HIV prevention and awareness, with adequate access to treatment and support services ongoing into the future. They remain committed to providing a living hope for our clients and community. Community programmes include; prevention and awareness programmes, Treatment and Palliative Care, Wellness clinic, the Boikhutsong Hospice, Mobile Clinic etc. The Dumela Vegetable garden plans a variety of education and training opportunities and provides income-generation by employment and selling vegetables. The gardens supply fresh produce for the patients and children and now grows vegetables for the local commercial market. The Friends of Kololo programme is aimed at creating customer loyalty, increase word of mouth and develop a support program whereby guests are connected to Kololo in a sustainable way.
Donations are used for projects such as: General game, Rhino conservation, Waterberg Welfare society and Plant a Tree project.
